Clinical service

Gastroenterology

Digestive symptoms are common and easy to dismiss. This department treats them as diagnosable: history, blood work, imaging, and endoscopy in a planned order.

Endoscopy lists run on weekdays with written bowel-preparation instructions sent the day before. Consent is taken in the room, not in a corridor.

Liver clinics cover viral hepatitis, fatty liver, and cirrhosis. Diet advice is written; it is not left as a spoken aside.

Emergency gastrointestinal bleeding is received in Emergency and handed to this team the same day.
