Clinical service

Emergency & Trauma

The Emergency department is the front door after hours and the fastest door in a crisis. Patients are triaged on arrival; a name and a complaint are enough to start care.

Resuscitation bays sit beside a trauma theatre. Ambulance handovers are taken by a doctor, not only by a clerk.

Chest pain, stroke, major bleeding, and breathing difficulty jump the queue. That is explained to people waiting, not left as a rumour.

If you need admission, the Emergency note becomes the first page of the inpatient record. You should not have to repeat the story at every desk.
