Clinical service
Oncology
Cancer care here is organised as a sequence, not a series of disconnected appointments. Imaging, biopsy, and the first treatment plan are discussed in a weekly multidisciplinary meeting.
Surgical oncology covers breast, gastrointestinal, and head-and-neck tumours that can be treated in this hospital. Complex radiation is referred with a complete packet, not a verbal summary.
Day-care chemotherapy is given on a dedicated floor with a named nurse for each chair. Consent includes expected side effects and the number to call after hours.
We do not hide uncertainty. If a scan is inconclusive, that is written in the note the patient takes home.
