Clinical service

Paediatrics & Neonatology

Children are seen in a separate waiting area, with consultants who speak to the child first and the parent second. The neonatal unit takes inborn and referred newborns.

Outpatient clinics cover growth, asthma, infections, and developmental review. Immunisation advice follows the national schedule and is documented on the record.

The Level-II neonatal unit manages prematurity, jaundice, and respiratory distress. Parents are present for rounds unless a procedure requires a short exclusion.

Admission of a child is never assumed. If observation can happen at home with a clear return plan, that is what we write down.
